Takeaways
What you’re doing in supporting our campaign and promoting Alpha outside your church – works! Consistency will be key in ensuring it ties to the wider campaign to help with recognition versus just awareness
Leave your Alpha banner outside. Don’t take it down even if you’re not running Alpha there and then you can still signpost to future courses as people take notice
People are looking at digital – especially social, so keep posting and promoting your Alpha on your social channels. You can find lots of social assets we’ve created on MyAlpha. We’ll also continue to invest in digital advertising throughout the year to keep increasing awareness
Encouraging your congregation to attend an Alpha with their Alpha invitee could help with some of the concerns around attending
Hospitality has always been a core value of Alpha and is as important as ever in encouraging people to attend. Even if it’s asking your keen bakers or getting nice biscuits, hot drinks and napkins out – make it feel like a welcoming and comfortable environment
– [positive testimony of hospitality – Jess]
We also see there’s still huge value in offering online courses alongside in person, not just for those who wouldn’t be able to travel or attend an in-person course, but as it also offers anonymity and an eas(ier) exit for those who are nervous about committing to a course
Non-Christians love food, not apologetics
