Alpha Prisons Training, London

Saturday 22nd June, 09:30 – 15:30

We would love to welcome you to our Alpha Prisons Training Day at St Francis Community Church

The aim of our training is to equip those who are new to Alpha Prisons to run Alpha successfully in their local prison. For those already involved with Alpha Prisons, we hope the event will serve as a refresher that will provide some new perspectives on running Alpha in a custodial environment.

During the training we will cover the important security and safeguarding procedures you need to be aware of; as well as more practical sessions on how to lead small groups, how to give great live talks and how to pray for guests on Alpha. We will also look at Alpha's latest resources and how you can best use them in a prison context. The training is informative and interactive, it akso offers the opportunity to meet with others interested in running Alpha in prisons.

Registration and coffee are at 9.30am, training will start at 10.00am and finish around 3.30pm. Training is free but please do book on so that we can accommodate you. Lunch is not provided so please do bring a packed lunch, alternatively there is a Tesco Express 3 minutes walk away.

The nearest Tubes are Latimer Road and Ladbrook Grove on the Circle Line and Hammmersmith & City Line, from there the church is a 20 minute walk or 15 minutes ride on the 7 bus.

We look forward to seeing you!
